Privacy Policy

Summary

Low Voltage Toolkit (the "App") is a field utility for low voltage, CCTV, and security installers. We collect the minimum data needed to run the App: your account details, the project data you create, and — if you subscribe to Pro — your subscription status. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

  • Account & authentication: email address, password hash, optional company name and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and basic profile info from Google Sign-In.
  • Customer records: names, phone numbers, email addresses, and site addresses that you enter into your customer database. This is contact data about your customers — you are the controller of this data and confirm you have the right to store it.
  • Project & job data: jobs, schedules, calculator inputs, and line-item pricing you create.
  • Site survey notes: free-text notes, measurements, and equipment lists you record on-site.
  • Photos: images you capture or upload from a job. The App requestsCAMERA and photo library permission for this purpose. Photos are stored on-device and, on Pro, replicated to our private cloud photo storage bucket.
  • Quote PDFs: generated quote documents are stored in a private cloud bucket so you can re-download or email them.
  • Subscription & purchase data: whether you have an active Pro entitlement, which store sold it (Apple App Store or Google Play), the renewal/expiration timestamp, and an internal record of any promo-code redemption.
  • Operational logs: standard server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user-agent) retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

We do not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not collect precise or background location, device contacts, calendar entries, or microphone audio.

How we use it

  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Sync your project data, customer records, and photos across the devices you sign in to (Pro).
  • Grant access to Pro features based on your active subscription or redeemed promo code.
  • Send transactional emails you trigger (password resets, quote PDFs you email, etc.).
  • Debug crashes and prevent abuse.

We never use your data for marketing or advertising.

Who processes your data (subprocessors)

  • Supabase (managed Postgres, authentication, file storage) — stores account info, customer records, project/job data, site survey notes, photos, and quote PDFs. Data is hosted in the EU region.
  • Cloudflare — edge hosting and delivery of the App, web routes, and server functions.
  • Google Sign-In — optional authentication provider. We receive your Google email and basic profile claims; Google sees only that you signed in to this App.
  • RevenueCat — receipt validation and entitlement management for App Store and Google Play subscriptions. Receives your account ID, app user ID, store receipt data, subscription status, and renewal/expiration timestamps. This data is shared with RevenueCat (not just processed on our behalf) so they can validate purchases directly with Apple and Google.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Billing — process payment for Pro subscriptions under their own terms. We never see your card details.
  • Resend (transactional email) — delivers password resets and any quote PDFs you choose to email.

No part of the V1.3 release sends user content to a generative-AI provider.

Data residency

Primary data storage is in the United States (AWS us-east-1, Northern Virginia). Edge requests are served from the Cloudflare point of presence closest to you, but persistent storage of your account, customer records, project data, photos, and PDFs remains in the US. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the US under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses with our subprocessors).

Retention and deletion

  • Account & project data is kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Cancelling Pro is not the same as deleting your account. If you cancel Pro, you keep Pro access until the end of the current paid period, then drop to the Free tier. Your data remains in your account.
  • Delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. We permanently erase your account, customer records, project data, photos, and quote PDFs within 30 days.
  • Operational server logs are retained for up to 30 days, then deleted.
  • Purchase & subscription records may be retained longer where required by tax and accounting law.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from the in-app Settings screen, or by emailing privacy@lvtoolkit.pro. EU/UK residents have the rights granted by GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority); California residents have rights granted by the CCPA/CPRA. We honor verified requests under both.

Children

The App is intended for professional installers and is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We'll announce material changes to this policy in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
