Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Low Voltage Toolkit (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Service

The App is a field utility for low voltage, CCTV, and security installers — calculators, site surveys, jobs, customer database, quotes, and PDF export. A free tier and a paid "Pro" tier are offered. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. Accounts are for a single individual; do not share login credentials.

4. Pro Subscriptions

Pro is sold through the Apple App Store (StoreKit / Apple In-App Purchase) and Google Play (Google Play Billing) under their standard subscription terms. Subscription receipts are validated and entitlements are managed through RevenueCat, our billing infrastructure provider.

  • Billing, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless cancelled before the store-specific cutoff (Apple: at least 24 hours before renewal; Google: before the next billing date).
  • Cancellation ends auto-renew but does not immediately revoke access. You keep Pro features until the end of the current paid period, after which your account drops to the Free tier. Cancelling is not the same as deleting your account.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription from your device's subscription settings, or via the Manage Subscription link in the app's Settings screen.
  • Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google Play. Google Play's purchases are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
  • EU/UK 14-day withdrawal: by starting to use Pro immediately, you expressly request that the service begins during the statutory 14-day withdrawal period and acknowledge that, once fully performed, your right to withdraw is lost. Where the withdrawal right still applies, you may exercise it through the store of purchase.
  • Promo codes: we may issue promo codes to testers, partners, or strategic accounts that grant time-limited Pro access without payment. Promo-code entitlements expire at the end of their period and may be revoked for abuse.
  • Your Pro entitlement is tied to your account, not your device, and unlocks Pro features on every platform where you sign in with the same email.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not use the App to violate any law, infringe anyone's rights, reverse-engineer the App or its services, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or transmit malware. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the App.

6. Your Content

You own the data you create in the App — jobs, surveys, photos, customer records, quotes. You confirm you have the right to store any customer contact information you upload. We process and store this data on your behalf only to provide the service (e.g. cloud sync on Pro). See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Disclaimers

Calculator outputs, estimates, and reference material in the App are provided "as is" for the convenience of qualified installers. They are not engineering certifications and must be independently verified against manufacturer specifications and applicable codes before installation. You are solely responsible for the safety and compliance of any work you perform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business arising out of your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

9. Termination & Account Deletion

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the App. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your Pro entitlement ends at the end of the paid period, and your cloud data is permanently erased within 30 days. Locally stored data on your device is unaffected until you uninstall the App.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country or state of residence.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
